COAL CITY — River View erased a five-point halftime deficit outscoring Independence 26-15 in the third quarter, then held on to defeat the Patriots in the consolation game of the Little General Classic.
Jordan Wilson led all scorers with 20 points for River View and Tyler Dehaven scored 11.
Cody Collins led the Patriots with a double-double scoring 10 points and grabbing 18 rebounds. Adam Tolliver added 11 points and Brandon Treadway chipped in 10 points.
Independence (0-4) travels to Greenbrier West Jan. 4.
