Tazewell 66, Council 50

After a tough last-second loss to Honaker in their opener in the tournament on Wednesday, the Bulldogs have now won two in a row. Tazewell (5-4) defeated Council 66-50.

"We got everything together and played an all-around team game," Tazewell coach William Lester said. "Defense is where it begins and ends with us and we picked it up today."

Four players reached double digits in a balanced game for the Bulldogs. Juwan Jordan (15), Isyah Hagy (14), Malik Davis (12) and Tanner Catron (12) were big offensively for Tazewell.

Josh Viers scored a game-high 22 points for Council (3-3). The Cobras finished with 18 turnovers.
