PIPESTEM — Mercer Christian Academy held off Beth Haven Christian School 52-49 on Saturday night to take the third-place game at the Pipestem Invitational Tournament at Pipestem Christian Academy.

Jamie Beckner, Caleb Janning and Kenny Shrewsbury all scored in double figures for the Cavaliers (3-6), with 17, 14 and 10 points respectively. Mercer Christian jumped to a 14-7 lead after the first quarter and were ahead 26-23 at the half.

Beth Haven scored on 11 three-point goals in the game, with Brandon Horn and Blake Fry each draining four treys.

MCA is at home at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday to host Ballard Christian Academy.
