WELCH — Free throws made the difference Thursday night as the Bluefield Lady Beavers shot past the Mount View Lady Knights. Bluefield converted on 18-of-34 from the charity stripe, while the Knights made six-of-nine.

Bluefield led 10-0 after the first quarter, but Mount View was within six at the half, 21-15.

Destiney Sims led the Lady Beavers with 18 points and three steals. Dazia Edwards added 11 points and three rebounds, while Jesslyn Fullerton had three rebounds and five steals.

Jasmine Lash led Mount View with 11 points and Keisha Johnson added 10.
