WELCH — Mingo Central’s inside-outside game proved too much for the Lady Knights at the Castle on Monday.
The Miners’ 6-foot-1 center Ashley Curry scored 17 points, all in the paint, and Hannah Church scored 19 points, 17 of which came in the second half when she connected on three 3-pointers.
The Knights led 12-8 after the first quarter but trailed 22-21 at halftime and allowed their visitors 41 second-half points.
Jasmine Lash and Keisha Johnson led Mount View with 15 and 14 points respectively.
Mount View (11-5) hosts Van on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m., with the boys’ doubleheader game to follow.
