It's difficult to believe, given the final score of Thursday's nightcap, but it was a tie game in the final seconds of the first quarter and a two-point game with six minutes left in the first half.
It was all Honaker the rest of the way.
Honaker (19-6) scored 16 unanswered points to extend a 14-12 lead to 30-12 and completely shut Haysi down on the defensive end.
Freshman Tara Deel hit three straight 3-pointers to ignite the second quarter run and finished as the game's only double-figure scorer with 15 points.
Laken Robinette blocked seven shots and hauled in nine rebounds and Kaitlyn Shelton had seven assists for Honaker.
Seniors Erin Hyden (6 points) and Hannah Mondrage (5) were held to a combined 11 points for Haysi (16-10).
