WELCH — The Lady Knights received 12 points from Tamia Joyce and 10 from Kaitlyn Gillespie Tuesday to take their second win in a row.
The visitors were shut out in the first quarter and Mount View held a 40-17 lead after three periods.
Chloe Layne of Independence (0-2) led all scorers with 13 points.
The game produced only five fouls. Independence was whistled four times, all in the first half, and Mount View’s only foul came late in the fourth quarter. Only two foul shots were attempted, and neither was good.
Mount View (2-1) plays Thursday at PikeView.
