GARDNER — Freshman Hope Lester scored 26 points to lead Westside to a 59-43 win over PikeView on Wednesday night.

The Renegades jumped out to a 13-point halftime lead, at 29-16, and built that margin to 18 going into the final period.

PikeView’s Hope Nester paced the Panthers with 15 points, four rebounds and four steals, while Jennifer Taylor added 13 points and three assists. Danielle Compton scored nine points and pulled down four boards.

McKensie Davis and Tori Patrick had nine points each for Westside (2-0), which plays in a tournament at Narrows this weekend.

PikeView (1-1) will play Spring Valley on Friday in a tournament at Tolsia High School. The Panthers will play Tolsia or Mingo Central on Saturday.
