NARROWS, Va. — Karli Beechler scored 25 points, making 11-of-14 free throw attempts, leading Giles past the Rockets in the opening round of the Narrows Athletic Fund Christmas Tournament.
Gracie Faw had 11 points for Craig County, which by 9 at halftime, but were outscored 45-13 after the break.
Kiersten Shrader added eight points for Giles, which will play Narrows for the championship on Saturday at 3 p.m. Craig County will play Auburn in the consolation game at noon.
