CROSS LANES — The Eagles sprang out to a 37-27 halftime lead on Saturday, but couldn’t get free throws to fall in he second half. Teays Valley was 9 for 14 at the stripe and the young Ballard Christian team was 5 for 15.

Zach Ward finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds and Blake Bowles had 18 points for the Eagles (8-3). Top scorers for the victors wer Shane Estep with 27 points and Parker D’Antoni with 19.

Ballard Christian plays Jan. 5 at Seneca Trail Christian.
