Twin Valley 61, Honaker 51
After losing to Honaker in the title game of the BDD girls tournament on Saturday, the Lady Panthers rebounded nicely on Tuesday. The Twin Valley girls took a huge step in CRC play with a 61-51 victory at Honaker.
“I think our defense was the big difference tonight,” said Twin Valley coach Tommy Crigger. “We really stepped up defensively. We fronted Honaker’s big girls and kind of took them out of the game and made them shoot from outside.”
Hannah O’Quinn put up huge numbers for Twin Valley with 18 points, 15 rebounds and three blocked shots.
“Hannah came ready to play, if she does that we will win a lot of games,” Crigger said. “She made shots, she made some 3s, she rebounded, it was just all-around a great game. If she can do that, we’re going to have a lot of good nights.”
Alexis Vance (15 points) and Katelyn Jackson (10) were also in double figures for the Panthers.
Honaker was led by Tara Deel with a game-high 22 points, including four treys.
