Graham rallies past Green Wave
Graham (60) Vs. Narrows (50)
Jan 12, 2015
BLUEFIELD, Va. — It took a 17-point fourth-quarter push, and big contributions by the bench, but the Graham G-Girls came back to record a 60-50 win over the Lady Wave of Narrows on Monday evening at Graham Middle School.

In a see-saw contest, Narrows held a 15-11 edge after one quarter, with Graham ahead 30-28 at halftime. The Lady Wave led 44-43 going into the final stanza, but scored only six points the rest of the way.

“We battled foul trouble throughout the game,” said Graham head coach Chris Southcott. “It was a complete team effort. Our bench did an incredible job, keeping the game where it needed to be to give us the opportunity to win at the end.”

Lexi Kiser tossed in 25 points, and made the game’s only two 3-pointers, for Graham (5-5). Dejah Carter added 10 points.

Maggie Guynn poured in 34 points for Narrows (8-5).

The G-Girls play at Ft. Chiswell and Narrows hosts Grayson County on Wednesday.
