FAIRLEA — Class AAA No. 8 Greenbrier East outscored Class AA No. 8 PikeView 12-4 in the final quarter to lock up a 9-point win Wednesday at Spartan Gym.
The Panthers (9-3) were led by a pair of Hatfields. Lindsay Hatfield scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds, and Lauryn Hatfield had 10 points and three boards.
The Spartans (12-2) got a huge night from Kat Walton, who scored 19 points and dished out a pair of assists. Sydney Nunley added 18 points and 12 boards, while Lexi Tincher had 11 points and five rebounds.
PikeView will be back in action on Friday, hosting Nicholas County.
