HICO — The River View Lady Raiders performed double duty on Saturday to take a 65-58 victory from Midland Trail in double overtime.

Working with a short-handed roster, three Lady Raiders had double-doubles. Katie Dobbs was credited with 24 points and 22 rebounds; Kiersten Roberts had 18 points and 12 boards; and Paige Cooper added 13 points and 13 rebounds. Only five River View players scored in the six-period game.

Rebekah Christian led in assists with six.

Madison Synor led Mid-land Trail with 20 points. Emily Carte added 12 and Jesika Cooper tossed in 11. All are seniors.

Midland Trail came back from a deficit late in regulation and tied the game 55-55 at the buzzer.

With about half a second left in overtime, the Patriots threw the ball in-bounds near the River View backboard, but Roberts stole the in-bounds pass to send the game to another extra frame.

The Lady Raiders were down four points in the second overtime, but Dobbs got a field goal and free throw, and Roberts hit a 3-pointer to provide a lead. River View then made free throws down the stretch for the victory.

Dobbs was 10 of 11 at the foul line overall, and hit all five of her attempts in the overtimes.

River View (12-5) plays on Tuesday at home against Mount View.
