Haysi scores more than Hurley
Hurley (37) Vs. Haysi (46)
Feb 11, 2015
By LLOYD COMBS

Boys: Haysi 46, Hurley 37 Hurley controlled the tempo, but failed to generate much offense and never led after an early 3-2 advantage in the varsity nightcap.
Sophomore Zack Lester was the only double figure scorer with 10 points to go with six assists for the Rebels (4-17).
"We controlled the tempo and made them play our game," Hurley coach Mark Cooper said. "I thought Zack and Brady (Justice) really controlled the ball and we played really good defense. If a few shots had fell early on we could have more of a run at them, but I was still proud of them, because we competed."
Haysi post Will Ratliff scored 11 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and blocked seven shots and the 6-foot-6 junior with the wide wingspan altered a few more shots.
"I thought Hurley out-played us, but we did stay focused on defense" said Haysi coach David Robinette.
Hunter Sutherland added 10 points and had four assists and three steals. Guage Hill scored 10 points and Jalen Sykes hauled in 10 rebounds.
