PRINCETON — What Princeton lacked in height, it made up for in hustle on Thursday night at the Ralph Ball Court.
The Tigerettes (7-13) jumped out to an 18-3 lead, went into halftime ahead 31-19, and froze the ball for most of the fourth quarter to eat the clock against the Cougars (6-12), who turned the ball over 22 times.
Taylor Hamm led Princeton with 14 points, five steals, five assists and six rebounds. Danielle Hall also had five steals and scored 12 points, including all three of Princeton's 3-point goals. Kaleigh Barker had 10 points and was the Tigerettes' top rebounder with nine. Adrianna Mitchem added eight boards and two steals, and Autumn Bradley grabbed four rebounds.
Alex Gray topped Capital's scoring with 15 points. The Cougars sank just 12 field goals and took six free throws compared to Princeton's 21.
Princeton will complete its regular season on Monday at George Washington.
