CHARLESTON — The Princeton Tigers were within a point of the Capital Cougars after eight minutes of play on Saturday afternoon, but allowed 27 or more points in each quarter the rest of the way, falling to the fifth-ranked team in Class AAA by a 97-62 score on Saturday.
Aaron Ferguson netted 18 points for Princeton, while Jacob Whittington had 15 and Ashton O’Dell added 13. Jordan Kinney poured in 28 points to pace Capital.
The Tigers host Bluefield on Tuesday, weather permitting.
