PRINCETON — Princeton advanced in tournament play Wednesday night, beating the Beckley Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles 62-53. With the win the Tigerettes advance to play Greenbrier East, Friday night in Fairlea for the sectional championship.
The Tigerettes led throughout, with Woodrow getting to within a point in the third quartrer. Danielle Hall and Jaime Vest topped the Princeton scoring column, each with 15 points. Kaleigh Barker tossed in 14 and Adrianna Mitchem added 10. Barker and Mitchem had double doubles as Barker pulled down 12 rebounds and Mitchem snagged 10. Taylor Hamm dished out seven assists and had six steals.
Paige Lewis led Woodrow Wilson with 13 points and Aliyah Williams added 12.
