Pipestem Christian 62, Morgantown Christian 48: Pipestem Christian Academy rolled to a 37-18 halftime advantage and cruised past Morgantown Christian Academy 62-48 on Thursday in a first-round game of the WVCEA state tournament.
Jason Steele sank four of Pipestem’s six 3-point goals and posted 22 points for the Panthers (14-7). Colton Lane chipped in 14 points and Jacob Rutherford added 10. Rutherford and Daniel Shorter also connected on 3-pointers.
Ryan Sargent led Morgantown Christian (10-9) with 20 points.
