ERIE, Pa. — The Mercer Christian Academy Cavaliers advanced to the NCSAA Division 4A national championship game with a 64-61 victory over Unity Christian of Illinois, Friday afternoon. The Cavaliers came from behind in the final quarter to get the win.
J.J. Easter led the Cavaliers with 23 points and five assists. Ryan Davis added 16 points and Chandler Scott 13. Daniel Boothe scored eight points and dished out seven assists. Easter set a school record for three point baskets in a quarter with five goals in the second period.
MCA will take on Broading Ford Christian School from New York, Saturday at 3 p.m. with the winner taking home the crown.
