RICHLANDS, Va. — Taylor Owens scored 24 points and Haley Bryant added 20, leading Virginia High to a three-point win over the Blue Tornado.
Richlands was paced by Olivia Harmon with 22 points and Haleigh Whited with 12.
Jada Campbell added 10 points for the Bearcats, who outscored the Blues 27-13 in the second quarter to overcome a 15-7 first period deficit.
Richlands will host Tazewell on Saturday in the Southwest District tournament at 7:45. Lebanon and Virginia High will open the night at 6.
