PRINCETON — Mount View picked up its first win of the season after two close losses, defeating Mercer Christian Academy 67-38 after taking a 34-20 halftime lead in the consolation game of the Princeton Christmas Tournament on Saturday.
Eight Golden Knights entered the scoring column, led by Sidney George and Joseph Hayes with 14 and 13 points respectively. Five Knights contributed to nine 3-point field goals.
Mercer Christian got 19 points from Daniel Boothe and 10 from Chandler Scott.
Mount View plays on Tuesday at Independence. The Cavaliers host James Monroe on Monday.
