BALLARD — The game was close all the way to the end before the Eagles took the victory on their home floor in Monroe County.

Blake Bowles and Wesley Hedrick scored 24 and 23 points respectively for Ballard Christian School (6-2), and Bryce Paynter added 10.

For the Panthers (5-3), Jacob Rutherford had 23 points, four assists and two rebounds. Levi Miller and Colton Lane each had double-doubles, and each dished three assists. Miller finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds; Lane had 12 points and 18 boards. Jayson Steele dished out 13 assists and had two rebounds.
