WELCH — The reigning Pocahontas Coal Association-Bluefield Daily Telegraph player of the week, Madison May, burned the nets for 35 points and Ashley Scott added 28 to pace PikeView to a 4-2 season record.

May added six rebounds, three assists, five steals and a block. Scott had seven rebounds, three assists, five steals and a block. Kaleigh Peyton had nine rebounds, an assist and three steals. Sparrow Void had a steal, two assists and three rebounds.

The Panthers’ defense held the Lady Knights to eight points or less in each quarter after the initial eight minutes.

Jazmine Lash was Mount View’s top scorer, nailing three 3-pointers for nine points.

PikeView (4-2) plays at Bluefield on Monday at about 7:30 p.m.
