Greenbrier East 67, River View 40
FAIRLEA — Greenbrier East used its pressure defense and some accurate shooting to open up a 26-7 lead over River View and rolled to a 27-point win on its home court at the Jerry Bradley Memorial Tournament.
The Lady Spartans (6-0) scored 31 points off of 26 Raider turnovers, setting up a showdown with Bluefield today at 5:45 p.m. for the girls championship in the tournament. River View will play Hedgesville in the consolation game at 2:15 p.m.
East, which led from start to finish, got 15 points and six rebounds from Katie Wilmer and 17 points and three rebounds from Lexi Tincher. The Lady Spartan bench outscored River View 22-4.
River View (6-2), which had lost only to Westside coming into Monday’s game was led by 14 points each from Kaitlyn Dobbs and Kiersten Roberts.
