The Lady Wave opened up a 37-10 lead in the early stages of the second half and coasted to Tuesday’s win in the girls varsity contest. Lexi Boyd’s 15 points and 10 rebounds led Grundy (10-6). Emily Lane and Cassie Keene each added eight points.
Council (1-14) was led by freshman Bree Ratliff’s seven points, 10 boards and three blocks.
Grundy has a makeup game tonight at Richlands.
