Twin Valley 66, Grundy 44: Tanner Wagner shot the Twin Valley boys to a big lead in the final game of Grundy's homecoming night. The junior guard scored 13 of his game-high 25 points in the second period, hitting five straight shots, including three of his five 3-pointers.
It helped the Panthers (9-7) overcome a 10-9 deficit and outscored the Golden Wave 27-6 in the quarter.
Tayten Sykes added 15 points for Twin Valley, whose biggest lead was 54-20 after an 18-4 run to open the second half.
The bigger Panthers dominated inside. Cole Payne pulled in 11 rebounds, Austin Shortridge grabbed 10 and 6-7 junior corralled eight boards and blocked eight shots.
Ethan Duty's 13 points and Dylan Wolford's 10 points paced Grundy, Christian Jackson added nine points.
Twin Valley has a makeup doubleheader tonight at Richlands. Grundy hosts Hurley in a makeup twinbill on Thursday.
