FAIRLEA — Greenbrier East edged by Princeton 69-65 in overtime, in the Class AAA Region 3 Section 2 semifinal Wednesday.
Greenbrier East outscored Princeton 25-8 in the third quarter to overcome a 35-26 first half defict. The Tigers forced overtime with a 15-7 fourth period advantage.
Caleb Ward led four Spartans in double figured with 17 points. Seth Brown tossed in 16, Evan Canterbury added 13 and Karim Ezzedine contributed 11.
Logan Watkins scored 17 points, Cole Cochran and Colton Fix both had 13 apiece and Bryson Murphy chipped in 12 for the Tigers, who finished 9-10.
Greenbrier East (13-9) travels to Beckley on Friday to battle Woodrow Wilson in the Sectional Championship at 7 p.m.
