MADISON — The PikeView Lady Panthers overcame a sluggish start to tie the game at 54 late, but Scott’s Julia Conway made one of her two free throw attempts as the top-ranked AA Skyhawks held on for a slim victory.
PikeView fell behind 12-5 after the first then clawed their way back into the game
Hope Nester had a game-high 26 points to go along with four steals and two assists. Danielle Compton added nine points and four rebounds while Lyndsay Hatfield had seven points and five rebounds.
Makenzie White led Scot with 19 points. Conway, Jamiee Dotson and Alison Whittman each had eight points.
The Lady Panthers head to Shady Spring on Wednesday before host Summers County and James Monroe on Thursday and Friday.
