SHAWSVILLE, Va. _ Bland County's season came to an end with a 102-56 loss to Galax on Thursday night in the Region D Division 1 semifinals at Eastern Montgomery High School.
Austin Pack led Galax with 17 points, as the Maroon Tide managed to bring Bland County out of its zone that had kept the three previous meetings at a slower pace.
Bland County (13-12) was paced by Chase Hankins with 17 points and 12 for Darryl Clark.
Galax will play Parry McCluer for the title on Saturday. The Blues defeated Auburn 62-48 in an earlier semifinal game.
