CHAPMANVILLE — The Panthers gave their hosts quite a battle in the championship game of the Bob Runyon Memorial Tournament on Saturday. PikeView (1-3) trailed by a single point after the first quarter and the score was tied 30-30 at halftime.
For PikeView, Jason Weitzel made four treys and scored 22 points; Tanner Farley had 10 points. Zach Meadows had nine points and nine rebounds, and Bradley Flinchum generated three steals.
Panthers named to the all-tournament team were Weitzel, Logan McKinney and Meadows.
PikeView returns to action Wednesday at Shady Spring to play Liberty-Raleigh in a weather-delayed tournament.
