BLAND, Va. — Darryl Clark scored the 1,000th point of his career, and the Bland County Bears improved to 2-1 with a 7948 win over Rural Retreat on Tuesday night at Bland High School.
Asher Dillow led the Bears with 24 points, while Clark added 15. Tyler Faulkner tallied 13 points and 10 by John Miller.
Clark reached the 1,000 point plateau with a 3-point shot at the 4:54 mark of the first quarter.
Dillow added eight steals, six rebounds and four assists, while Chase Hankins contributed five rebounds and two assists.
Jay Linkous and Tanner Bryant led the Indians with nine points apiece.
Bland County travels Friday to Northwood.
