GRUNDY, Va. — In Tuesday's nightcap Grundy quietly built a lead in the second half and picked up its third win in a rebuilding season.
In the third period the Golden Wave (3-16, 3-6) executed as well as they have all season, converting 9-of-14 shots from the field to extend a 28-26 half-time lead to 50-40.
"The past few nights we've just played better team ball," Grundy coach Jeremy Ratliff said. "That's what we did tonight.
"We weren't selfish. We looked for everybody and got everybody involved."
