WELCH — The Mount View Golden Knight girls' and boys' basketball teams celebrated Senior Night last evening with a pair of wins over Van.
In the preliminary contest, the Lady Golden Knights took a 6510 victory to conclude their regular season 11-6.
Keisha Johnson and Ashleigh Belfiore paced Mount View with 18 and 14 points respectively, as nine of the ten Lady Knights who played got into the scoring column, including all five senior Lady Knights.
Mount View took a 15-4 lead after the opening frame and expanded that to 39-4 at the intermission.
The Lady Golden Knights will host River View Saturday night at 7:30 at the Castle in the opening round of the Class AA sectional tournament.
