HILLSVILLE, Va. — Chris Smoot canned four 3s and finished with 16 points, and Carroll County continued its dominance of the Southwest District with a 77-54 SWD semifinal win over the Bulldogs on Wednesday night.
Carroll County (22-1) will play Abingdon for the SWD tourney title on Friday. Tazewell (8-15) will face Marion in the SWD consolation game on the same evening.
Tazewell was led by Juwan Jordan with 13 poins, while Isaac Santana added 12 and Tanner Catron tossed in 11.
Bulldogs’ leading scorers Noah Walker and Jalen Jordan did not score. No report was received on whether they played in the game.
The Cavaliers led 29-11 at the first quarter and 43-24 at the break. Carroll County made eight 3s in the game to four by the Bulldogs.
