Mercer Christian 45, Victory 32
BRADLEY — Jamie Brown scored 36 points, and also contributed five rebounds, five steals and two assists, leading the Mercer Christian girls to a third place finish in the West Virginia Christian Education Association tournament on Saturday at Appalachian Bible College.
Mercer Christian also received 10 rebounsd from Sammi Goings and four boards by Brooke Bradford.
Victory Baptist was paced by Emily Butcher with 20 points.
Mercer Christian lost in the semifinals on Friday to Elk Valley 77-24. Both Brown and Goings didn’t play in that game due to illness.
Brown was selected to the WVCEA all-state and all-tournament team.
Mercer Christian (9-8) will conclude its season on Monday by hosting New Life Christian at 5 p.m.
