NITRO — Hannah Preservati and McKenzie Akers each scored 15 points to lead Class AAA No. 6 Princeton to an 66-45 win over Nitro on Wednesday night for an 8-0 start to the season.
Stephanie Lambert added 11 points and Kendria Parkins scored nine for the Tigerettes (8-0), who will play Saturday at Parkersburg.
Akers also contributed 11 assists, five steals and five rebounds.
Nitro, which trailed 23-10 after the opening period, was paced by Savannah Shamblin with 16 points.
