BLUEFIELD, Va. — The Graham G-Men shared the ball and the scoring on Monday evening, blowing out the Giles Spartans 80-51 on the Graham Middle School court.
The G-Men (12-2) generated 17 assists overall. Thomas Clarke had six of them, while Roman Workman and Colby Hill each had three. Clarke also had four rebounds and three steals.
Hill and Hood led Graham’s scoring with 20 and 16 points respectively. Tanner Miller had six rebounds; Hill grabbed four.
Nine G-Men contributed points while 10 Spartans got into the scoring column. Trenton Ray poured in 20 points for Giles (6-8), which went 8-for-9 from the free-throw line.
After falling behind 39-14 at halftime, the Spartans outscored Graham by two points in the third quarter. The G-Men capped the evening with a 23-point final stanza.
In a pregame ceremony, Graham head coach Glynn Carlock Jr. presented Hood and his mother with the game ball from the Bluefield game in which Hood scored his 1,000th varsity point.
Graham plays at Narrows tonight, while Giles hosts Glenvar. The G-Men next play at home on Friday in a quad evening with Bland County.
