BLUEFIELD — The Bluefield Lady Beavers overcame a first quarter deficit to hold off River View, 39-36, on Wednesday night.
Shelia Hopkins had a game-high 15 points to pace Bluefield who trailed 12-9 after the first.
The Beavers held a slim 20-19 lead at the break.
Khadijah Brown added 10 points for Bluefield who visits Wyoming East tonight.
Tara Bowles led River View with 10 points, 11 boards and 4 steals. Samantha Matney added 9 points while Chelsey Dobbs finished with 8 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks.
The Lady Raiders travel to Hurley tonight.
