LINDSIDE — Zach Hatfield scored 13 points and James Monroe doubled up Mount View in the third quarter to hold on for a 47-44 victory on Saturday.
The Mavericks trailed the Golden Knights 23-20 at the break, but put up 14 points to Mount View’s 7 in the third quarter to regain the lead 34-30.
Wes Jones hit three from deep for James Monroe to finish with 12 points and Brad Jackson grabbed 10 boards.
Maurice Brown led the Golden Knights with 15 points and Teddy Hazzard had 12.
James Monroe (3-0) hosts Giles on Tuesday.
