SUMMERSVILLE — The Cavaliers dropped their opening game of the West Virginia Christian Education Tournament as they could not stop Corey Alley.
Alley scored 40 points including all his team’s thrid quarter points to lead Parkersburg Christian. Austin Alley added 15.
Mercer Christian was paced by James Beckner’s 21 points and nine assists. Jonather Easter chipped in with 14 points and five steals while Caleb Janning had 12 points.
The Cavaliers play the loser of Wood County Christian and Cross Lanes today at 9 a.m. in the double-elimination tournament.
