TAZEWELL, Va. — The Tazewell Bulldogs stormed back with a 24-point final quarter on Tuesday night to defeat the Bland County Bears 78-75 in the opening game of the season for both teams.

Tazewell led 23-20 after a busy first quarter but trailed 60-54 after three periods.

Noah Walker led the Bulldogs with 18 points, 16 rebounds and three blocked shots. Jalen Jordan also had 18 points, going 10-for-13 at the foul line. Blake Hash had 16 points.

The Bears’ Asher Dillow scored 32 points, hitting five threes; Darrell Clark added 18 and Chase Hankins had 13.

Tazewell plays at Oak Hill Academy on Thursday and hosts Grundy on Friday.
