PEARISBURG, Va. — The Giles girls took a 31-26 lead into the final period but ended the night with a heart-breaker of a loss. Christiansburg nailed a field goal with about 15 seconds to take the final lead, and the Spartans’ last shot attempt didn’t make it.
Emily Santolla was the only Giles player in double-figure scoring, with 11 points.
Hunter Stallard paced Christiansburg with a game-high 14.
Giles (2-2) plays again on Thursday at Pulaski County.
