WYTHEVILLE, Va. — Dakoda Shrader controlled the paint, scoring 24 points, including five in a pair of overtimes to lead the Spartans past the Mavericks in the George Wythe Holiday Tournament.
Giles (3-2) outscored James Monroe (2-3) 11-6 in overtime. Brian Mann had eight of his 17 points in the two extra periods, while Trenton Ray added 10.
Caleb Spencer paced the Mavericks with 20 points, while Dakota Copenhaver tallied 10.
Giles will play PikeView today at 6:30 p.m., while the Mavericks will play George Wythe at 8.
