GALAX, Va. — The Graham G-Men are headed into the postseason with the No. 1 seed in the Southern Empire Conference boys basketball tournament, after posting their 20th win on Friday night, beating Galax 64-53 on the road.
Three G-Men scored 15 or more points — Colby Hill had 20 points and three assists, Tony Hood had 16 points and four assists, and Roman Workman had 15 points and four rebounds. Graham (20-2) generated 11 assists.
Clif Conley of Galax scored his 1,000th varsity point and finished with 23 points.
The G-Men get a bye in the first round of the conference tournament and will not play again until next Friday. The tourney will take place at Tazewell Middle School.
The Graham junior varsity also finished the regular season 20-2 with a victory over Galax.
