HINTON — James Monroe turned on the gas in the final quarter, outscoring host Summers County 19-13 down the stretch to claim their second win this season over the Bobcats.
Caleb Spencer led James Monroe, whose only loss came at Giles, with 11 points, while Lance Wilson added 10.
Summers County (3-5) got 16 points and 14 rebounds from Dacota Thomas, while Andrew Richmond scored 11 and Matt Ryan, still seeking his 1,000th point, had 10.
The Bobcats will return to action Tuesday at Greenbrier West, while the Mavericks will host Independence that same night.
