Dec 14, 2012
Lebanon 52, Twin Valley 33
After going without a field goal for more than eight minutes Lebanon made up for it in the final 6:42 as they pulled away from Twin Valley.
All five Lebanon starters scored four or more points in the fourth quarter as the Pioneers finished the game on a 22-5 run.
Hannah Cox hit back-to-back buckets to begin the closing run and finished with 20 points, seven rebounds, four steals three assists and two blocks.
Lebanon forced 20 turnovers and held Twin Valley to 22 percent (11-of-50) shooting from the field. That included an 0-for-12 stretch in the final six minutes.
Katelyn Jackson led the Lady Panthers with 16 points. Kara Goodman added 12 rebounds and Hannah O’Quinn blocked four shots.
“We played well for about three-and-a-half quarters and then their quickness hurt us,” Twin Valley coach Rick Goodman said. “That and (Cox), she killed us on both ends of the floor. But for that first three-and-a-half quarters we played better than we did (Wednesday) night (against Clintwood).”
Twin Valley plays in a consolation game on Saturday.
