Mercer Christian 65, Emmanuel Christian 36: J.J. Easter and Caleb Janning scored 11 points apiece to lead the Cavaliers to the West Virginia Christian Education Association state tournament semifinals at Appalachian Bible College in Bradley.
Brian Davis added 10 points, while Janning added seven rebounds and six steals for Mercer Christian. Daniel Boothe provided nine points, 10 assists and seven steals.
Zach Bell led Emmanuel Christian with 20 points.
The 10-school state tournament is held annually at Appalachian Bible College. Mercer Christian will face Pipestem Christian in a 5:30 semifinal today, weather permitting.
The other semifinal will involve Ballard Christian and Victory Christian at 3.
