CHAPMANVILLE —John Keffer finished a five-point play entirely on the free throw line with 40 seconds remaining to lift the Hillbillies to a victory over the Panthers in the Chapmanville Tourna-ment.
Keffer was fouled at the arc by PikeView’s Tyler Boyd, who committed his fifth foul in the process and received a technical foul as he walked off the floor. Keffer, who finished with 15 points, sank all five free throws.
Kenny Adkins scored 21 to lead the Hillbillies (3-0) and Jake Adkins fired up 14 points.
Seth Meadows scored 25 points to pace the Panthers (3-3), Wayne Brookman posted up for 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and Hunter Hill scored 15 points.
The Panthers take on Mount View tonight at 7 p.m.
