RICHLANDS, Va. — Devon Johnson scored 32 points and Ben Brown canned 20, as Richlands avenged an earlier 22-point loss with a 70-69 win over Marion on Friday night at Richlands Middle School.
Richlands, which lost 71-49 at Marion on Jan. 4, outscored the Scarlet Hurricane 17-6 in the third quarter and then held on for their first Southwest District win of the season.
Brendon Alford paced Marion (7-7, 1-4) with 19 points, while Ethan Richardson canned 18.
Richlands (4-8, 1-3) will host Honaker today, with the four-game schedule beginning at 3 p.m.
